Deputy Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee the work of the accounting team (2 direct reports: Payroll Accountant and Primary Documents Accountant)
  • Manage primary documentation in 1C:8.3, issue invoices and acts, work with electronic document management systems and archives
  • Control payroll calculation and provide backup for the payroll accountant during vacations/sick leaves
  • Manage and forecast payroll and tax budgets, monitor tax burden, and oversee additional accounting expenses
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing
  • Work with outsourced accounting providers (quality control, accuracy of reporting, document exchange)
  • Advise and support cross-functional teams on accounting matters
  • Handle banking operations (payments, currency transactions, payroll projects) and ensure compliance with currency control regulations
  • Analyze and optimize the tax base and cost structure
  • Monitor legislative changes and implement necessary adjustments in accounting practices
  • Conduct internal audits, and automate and optimize accounting processes

You are a good fit if

  • You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • You have 3+ years of experience as a Lead Accountant, Deputy Chief Accountant, or Senior Accountant
  • You have strong knowledge of accounting and tax legislation, including currency control and payroll project regulations
  • You are proficient in 1C:Accounting, Excel, electronic document management systems, and internet banking platforms
  • You have experience with budgeting, tax burden calculation, and accounting cost planning
  • You have worked closely with banks, tax authorities, and outsourced accounting services
  • You have experience setting up and optimizing accounting processes, participating in internal audits, and automating accounting systems
  • You are detail-oriented, have strong analytical thinking, and are skilled at communication and teamwork
